Chapter 67

Sovereigntyal-Mulk ( الملك )

»The surah that opens with the statement “Blessed is He in whose hands is all sovereignty”. It takes its name from Divine sovereignty (mulk) mentioned in verse 1. The surah challenges the disbelievers with declarations of God’s total power over them, and everything else, in this world and the next. It describes the regret the disbelievers will express on the Day of Resurrection (verse 9 ff. and verse 27).«

The surah is also known as Control, The Dominion, The Kingdom

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

: O Rahman, O Rahim olan Allah'ın adıyla (okumağa başlarım). (Halka hayat ve bekâ ihsan eden, korkulardan koruyan hakikî mabûd Cenab-ı Allah'ın adı ile okumağa başlarım.)

تَبارَكَ الَّذي بِيَدِهِ المُلكُ وَهُوَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَديرٌ

Bütün mülk ve saltanat, kudret elinde olan Allah, her türlü noksanlıktan tenezzüh edib yücelmiştir. O, her şeye kadîr'dir.
