58قُل لَو أَنَّ عِندي ما تَستَعجِلونَ بِهِ لَقُضِيَ الأَمرُ بَيني وَبَينَكُم ۗ وَاللَّهُ أَعلَمُ بِالظّالِمينَMuhammad AsadSay: "If that which you so hastily demand were in my power, everything would indeed have been decided between me and you.1 But God knows best as to who is doing wrong."I.e., "you would have been convinced that I am really a bearer of God's message" - the implication being that a conviction based solely on a "miraculous" proof would have no spiritual value.
