147وَما كانَ قَولَهُم إِلّا أَن قالوا رَبَّنَا اغفِر لَنا ذُنوبَنا وَإِسرافَنا في أَمرِنا وَثَبِّت أَقدامَنا وَانصُرنا عَلَى القَومِ الكافِرينَN. J. DawoodTheir only words were: ‘Lord, forgive us our sins and our excesses; make us firm of foot and give us victory over the unbelievers.’
